Hi

I have a modern bike a Specilized Diverge Carbon in matte black color.

I have Enve cockpit and Jon Bon Pass black/tan tires.

I like the modern meets old look.

Today I have the Fitzik Performence Bar Tape in orange. I like it but I Think I will change to black.

So someone have any good tip on a black more Classic not super thin bar tape?

For the classic black look with a little more padding, Cinelli cork/gel would be my call.

Thanks but isn´t the Fizik super thin?

I will check them out.

Been looking at leather tape aswell but maybe it is to hard to get a good fit. And will slipp in the wet?

I liked the look on the Fizik!

That Fizik tape kgt writes about is just awesome. If you want a thicker but with same feeling Specialized Velvet is very alike :)

Great looking Fizi:k handlebar tape that’s available in a wide range of colours and compliments any finishing kit.

It will scrub up time and again to ensure your bike looks as good as new

Check out the Zevlin Big 40 tape. It is great stuff. In my 30 years of riding I have tried dozens of different bar tapes, and this one is undoubtedly the best.

It is thin (check my Cipo for looks) but durable. You may add Fizik gel inserts if you prefer it more bulky.

I just want it a little more thick - I have the Performance Classic today and it´s 3 mm and it´s okej.

But I don´t like the thicker parts on it if you know what I mean. I guess that a classic black one with perforated holes and about 2,5-3 mm will be good.

How can it be so hard to find the right one.

Leather - is that an option?

You easily can choose for a layer under it of whatever material.

Cinelli has a lot of diff bartapes, have a look on their site.

I use the Fizik tape currently, and find it comfortable. I'm going to try the perforated Deda Elementi on the new bike mainly out of curiosity as it seems to be about the most lightweight tape there is.

If you want classic why not just use original Cinelli cork?

Deda is another alternative to the Cinelli. I like it. Light, affordable and comfy. Plenty of colours too.
