Schmolke Carbon + Titanium bolts upgrade

Hey all, I recently purchased a 2016 Cannondale Evo Black Inc. and am putting some finishing touches to make it my dream bike (once complete I'll post photos). I'm considering swapping out all the hardware on the bike and using Schmolke Carbon bolts on the headset adjustment, bottle cages and derailleurs- titanium for everywhere else.

I've already read the carbon bolts thread- but still don't have a solid feel for how much weight this carbon/titanium combination would save me. Does any know on the weight decrease of doing this or has anyone done this full swap in the past?

Thanks

Take a look at Extralite's top cap/bolt. They use a hollowed out aluminum bolt. I can't remember how much that alone weighs but the top cap, bolt and expander weighs 9.7g total, and I've tightened it pretty good before without any trouble.

Nylon M5x10mm

Hey danbjpa, those weights are pretty helpful- thanks for posting. Looks like I can save ~1 gram per carbon bolt vs aluminum. I'm tempted to go forward with the Schmolke bolts...weight weenism is a disease!

I don't think that using Schmolke bolts makes sense in term of saving weight. My guess would be that You save about 0.5g per bolt. You can save much more weight anywhere else.
But these bolts are nice detail in my eyes. I used them to replace bottle cage bolts and also cable stops on my Wilier Zero7. Schmolke also recomends them in brakes to hold brake shoes, but to be honest, I will never try to put them there :-)
So as I mentioned above, it is nice detail at my WW bike, but real weight savings are less than 5g in total.

Thanks for the reality check Martin. Looks like I overestimated the weight savings.

BTW - your Wilier is incredible. 4,86 kg!!
