Have the new Time iClics and keep struggling with squeaky cleats - something about the interface btwn cleat and pedal that causes an annoying squeak that drives me crazy as I'm one of those types that loves a bike that is whisper quiet.

Any suggestions on how to minimize the squeak?
It only hurts if you think.

I have about 18,000 miles on xpresso pedals across 4 different bikes. I have had what you hare experiencing once with a new pair of cleats and it was awful. Clean, lubed, everything squeaked. I ended up tossing the cleats for another pair and it never came back. I chalked it up a a bad pair of cleats. I have been through 3 or 4 pairs of cleats other than the bad ones with no other problems. I hope this helps. The squeaky cleats did the same noise on all my bikes. Some with xpresso 12, and some with 10.

It will go away soon. I had it earlier on newish cleats, only during certain temps and humidity. Think I calmed it down by wiping the cleat and pedal plate with a baby wipe.
