A couple of photos. Finished the build. Even with 28mm tires (Hutchinson Sector), the total weight is still impressive. I will soon go back down to 25mm tires and that should drop another 80-100 grams or so. Also, the skewers are stock Campy. Yes...I mix brands. :)

Weight= 6.76 kg (14.9 pounds)

Nice bike and build. But what's up with mixing up Dura Ace and Ultegra :shock:

How much do those wheels weigh? I have no place to shave weight off of my bike except for the wheels.

I used parts from other bikes I had. Don't remember the exact weight for the clincher wheelset, but should be around 1,480g. The 35mm wheelset is obviously lighter...the tubular version even more so.

Thanks. That would be about 300g. lighter than what I have. I want aero and it's hard to find something that is aero, light, and easy on the wallet. Btw, those rims look way deeper than 35m.

Mine are 50. Just saying the 35mm version is obviously even lighter.

Just wondering why you'd choose 28mm tires for a bike like this?

Is the space between the headtube en fork correct?

That gap does look a little excessive. Here is what my gap looks like

Not sure. I thought the gap/space was too wide, but did check the bearings and the base-plate -- they seem fine. I will probably call Fuji about it.

Do you notice any ride quality increase between 23,25,28mm tires?

Looks really nice! I'm looking for a light, relatively affordable frame that can take 28mm tyres (riding hilly 300-400km brevets, the added ride quality running at 70-80psi helps). Is there plenty of clearance for the 28s? Could I go even wider or would that be the limit?

I don't think you can go any wider. The limiting factor is not the chainstay spacing, it's the seat-tube spacing. With Hutchinson Sector 28 on a 17c internal rim width, there's only about 2.5mm-3.0mm of room between the tire and the seat-tube. There's about 5.0mm spacing to the brake bridge. Plus, the Ultegra/DA brakes will not allow anything bigger.

Last pic of the build. Did a 45-mile ride this morning.

Fuji does not enjoy cool factor unlike other manufacturers..

But it does make absolutely good bikes.

Bikeradar tested FUJI sl, and it proved to perform very well.
