I'm going with the SMP knock-off that presby mentioned. It looks more comfortable that the "Type 1" and "Type 2" I mention in the first post.
I found what I think is the lowest-price version on aliexpress for $25.50. Most are in the $35 range - if you wanna pay extra for a cooler paint job they're out there

I got my Hylix from ebay of the S-Works shape. I really like it and haven't had any problems with it. Once my spare bike is built it'll go on that as I'm currently using my stripped and tuned SLR on my BMC

they resell to people who think if it doesnt come straight from china its different and better hehe.

SMP composit copies hold up OK 4000miles on mine an its a bit loose where the rails meet the nose (insufficiently bonded). But will ride it till it dies. It is the same shape as the other SMP saddles, but absolutely rigid. My bum likes the shape, but not sure i could ride more than 2 weeks straight (training camp type mileage) on it without bruised seat bones. Mine was quite porky at around 170g.

yup they are rigid. you either get used to it or you dump it, but who cares I don't think $25 for some test riding isn't a bad deal
