Cannondale CAAD10 or Specialized Allez (Smartweld) ?

Now I'm not so sure on the stack/reach comparision between the Tarmac and CAAD10. I'm trying to track down the stack/reach of pre-2012 Tarmacs to be sure.

I've just broken my Canyon CF and while they have a crash replacement programme, the cost of shipping it there and back is prohibitive.
So I'm looking into something a little more affordable and a lot less fragile and narrowed it down to the CAAD 10 and Allez. Two different shops, the CAAD is going for $1,100 and the Allez around $750. While I like the look of the Dale more, is it worth the extra $350?
The Allez comes with a tarmac fork, so the ride is improved over previous years. Allez only available in white and CAAD in matte black

Consider a used Specialized SL3 frameset....I found one for $1300 with shipping. Think I'm in love
Specialized Allez 06' "Rain Bike" 21.50lbs
Neuvation F100 11' "Road Bike" 16.80lbs
Specialized Tarmac Pro 11' "WW Bike" 14.25lbs
Neuvation F100 11' "Road Bike" 16.80lbs
Specialized Tarmac Pro 11' "WW Bike" 14.25lbs
I would totally jump all over that CAAD10!
And yes, the CAAD10 is definitely worth the extra coin.
Supposedly 1150g frame.
Now, are you talking just frameset?
Because I've seen complete 105 5700 bikes going for $1,200.
[Disclaimer: I am a CAADict! ]

You aren't paying attention to the thread, Stu.

Exp001 || Other projects in the works.
I'd get the CAAD, sell of the OEM bits (you should be able to recoup a few hundred bucks
there bringing your frameset price to below MSRP), keep the wheels for a beater set.
That's what I did and I ended up with a frameset/wheelset/seatpost/brakeset/
front derailleur/seat clamp for $450. brand new after I sold off the rest.

To the creator of this thread. is 350$ worth it to get the dale. It depends what you want.
The dale frame is about 160gr. less than the Allez E5 frame in similar size. aparently Allez 52cm is 1360gr.
the dale fork is full carbon 1.25in bottom bearing and around 250gr less. Allez fork has alu steering tube and 1.5 inch bottom bearing.
Dale has BB30, Allez regular , but 2012 Allez is getting BB30.
The Allez frame geometry is the same as the tarmac so very good handling bike. Its basically a Tarmac , but in Alu.
I think the Dale is worth it for 350$ more , but if your only looking for a good durable race bike for cheap , the Allez is pretty good too.

The 2012 Allez E5 has a full carbon fork like the Tarmac, so it's a bit more competitive with the CAAD10 this coming year.
Im very curious to know if someone has info on the E5 frame weight.
