245km this weekend with no discomfort - even on the K:1 saddle (which can be firm on long days).

I agree with your assessment, just wish it was not so time consuming to get the desired saddle angle. One observation - I would think that post might be problematic for the Fizik Kurve series as it seems that the slight flex in those saddles could bottom on the top of the seat post.

Yup. And Enve comes with both sets of hardware and works perfectly with my Sworks Toupe carbon rail saddle.

But once you get it set, it's not going to move/change.

If you change saddles, just mark the pieces with 3 dots (inner, outer, post) so you can quickly reinstall them to the same angle as before. Different saddles = different color dots.

my friend and I are having problem with the IONIC.

It keeps squeaking/creaking while you put torque on climbing/sprint.
I may try with my other saddle as soon as the Oval Mechanism arrive.

anyone has the same issues? :noidea: :(

No creaking here - mine's been fine since I modified it to work with the carbon rails.

What color your inner spine for round rail?

Black or Red?
Mine is Red, from the look of the shape is for OVAL rail.
I should have Black inner spine for round rail.

Looks like they sold us OVAL inner Spine with Round rail cap :(..

Not so for the Ionic - it's been simplified a little so that it's only the end caps that differentiate between round or oval now.

In fact I think the same now applies for the Palladio too.

FWIW, with the red insert (oval, by your reckoning) my Ionic didn't creak with round rails either.

Is anyone running an Ionic post with an Arione R1?

After returning the Ionic as I couldn't get to work with my Specialized Romin Pro saddle with 7x9 rails
I bought a Cranbrothers Cobalt 11 with the 7x9 kit. It has the exact same problem as the 3T Ionic. After some emails forth and back they finally informed me that the saddle was designed only for the Fizik saddles with the wrapping. These are more like 10x8 which is of cause why it can't be clamped down. The wrapping is there to prevent stress points on the carbon rails and adapts to the cups, so it need to fit a bit tigth in the clamps. Well the end result was that I found some fiber tape and wrapped that on the rails with an overlap as to get the right thickness. It seems to work, but will be verified on the road in a couple of months when the snow is gone and the roads are dry.
