In the first picture, see the swoopy diagonal created by the road, corner to corner, the cyclists just in the right spot, the simple color palette, the lack of any distracting telephone poles etc.
In the second pic, the frame and contrast created by the shadows, the cyclists at one third of the width, and he didn't cut the road sign in half.

Thanks!
To be fair (or unfair), I take photos for a living 8)

One my clubmate took of me doing the Bec CC hill climb on Sunday.

I can't touch fellow weenie JamieL (who was 2nd this year, losing his title to Mike Morris of NFTO), but it's a lot of fun nonetheless.

Why do WW hill climbers still wear roadie caps? Like, how many grams is that? :P

Yeah. I didn't really go all-in on the weenie front this year. Bike weighs 7.5, and I'm 2 or 3 of Kgs off my ideal HC weight. Not sure the cap was the difference.

Spectacular road up in the Sierras above Fresno in California. It's called Million Dollar Road and its closed to cars. Coolest road I have ever ridden on.
