That's a huge internal-external width gap. Too narrow imo, sacrificing comfort for no aero again, as the result on a 28mm tire will be a dimple between the tire and the rim.

I trust Elitewheels quality though, they will be fast nonetheless. Roval Rapide CLX IIs have 21mm internal too and they are the fastest on the market. I'll consider the 68D ad a racing-exclusive wheelset - the front rim is 55-61mm deep, the wave pattern also increases crosswind stability so it should be plenty stable when racing.
It's automatic, 240 USD until April 7th or until 2k wheelsets sell, just put the wheels into the basket. On top of that you're getting 2000 rewards points=40 USD to spend on accessories (I believe) so the effective final price with shipping is 1319 USD.

You may ask how did I know about it on March 26th, when I posted the table. idk, I must have been lucky, right? ;)

Bit funny that the model name uses the deepest part of the deeper (rear) wheel. "68" at 1464g sounds good until you realize the average depth of the front and rear are 58mm and 65mm.

My 69mm wheels (on average 8mm deeper) which are also several mm wider, with CX Ray Spokes and good ol' DT180 weigh just 75g more.

With carbon spokes and a supposedly light hub, I'd expect these Drive wheels to be lighter.

Wavy rims are always heavier

The Drive Helix's have a new reduced depth hook on the rim. From the website Elite appear to be saying it is safe to use with clinchers and at high pressures, but it makes me wonder just how secure it would be with non tubeless tyres.

Has anyone else come across anything similar elsewhere?

anyone can compare with the SALUKIWI, SUPERTEAM and Kutus wave carbonwheelsets?
it is almos identical like superteam, but the price is too expensive than superteam and the kutus are a reasonable price under 1000usd
the hub is a little worry, considering tpi ceramic bearings the EDCS wheelset also wave and using tpi with dt rachet 54t system is under 1000usd,
very courious the market target of this wheels

also can customized the spokes, it can choose sapim, or carbon spokes with st-01~03 or cadex spokes over 6mm

rim wave it is not the solution for the aerodinamics points.
zipp just fail in the patent way, so princeton or anyone can do this style rims and it is not worthy for real competition
look the giro italia, tour de france.
the other kill point who cares the aerodinamics when is climbing?
