Tread thickness is identical to the 28mm S TR according to BRR. Puncture belt is also the same. Maybe the compound wears quickly, since it's so grippy.

Its significantly cheaper than the S TR or Corsa Pro in my region, so I honestly wouldn't mind if mine lasts 2500km. Still worth the grip and weight, imo. No free lunch, but a fair trade.

The tyre held air around 6 bars overnight, that is very impressive. First inflation, no sealant, on old rim tape

2.500km
Can you give a number how much elevation was covered over this distance?

We need a new way to state tyre longevity.
Riding 2500 km on flat ground without accelerating and more importantly, strong braking, would be poor for any tyre. If you have covered 25,000 or even 50,000 m of elevation, it looks like a reasonable number.

2.500 km and around 44.000m of elevation in two months, nearly perfect road conditions. I can only say that I am generally really satisfied with the tire, no punctures not even ones that sealed automatically, lightweight and good grip.

However tires like 5000STR or even Turbo Cottons have a significantly longer mileage for me under the same conditions.

Do we know if BRR center tread thickness values include the casing thickness too?

The compound looks and feels similar to the Enves they make, though the latter are much thicker. I've found the Enve branded ones to wear quickly, unlike the the harder compound of their gravel tires.

Have they launched the resized ones yet? Hoping for a 25mm option. 25mm on a 23Iinner width wheel will give me a perfect 28mm real width.

Guess not if it's not on their own site yet. Last I heard was Feb or Mar, so should be any week now.

I love my Thundero/Speedero on my gravel bike so much, that after reading this thread I ordered 28C Primas for my road setup of Light Bicycle WR38's.

I'm fed up with my Conti 5000's dying early. So if these do better at a lower price I'll be happy.

I was considering the Conti 5000 all seasons, but the extra 100g per tire...

Enve just announced 31mm 33mm and 35mm version’s of their SES road tires. How similar are the 27mm and 29mm Enve tyres to the Comtura?

I bought 2 x 25mm and 1 x 28mm from r2 bike, which arrived today (UK) with no additional tax or customs charges. Paid circa 46 euros per tire, plus 7.50 euros for delivery. Weights : 25s were 210 and 212g. 28 was 240g.

Damn, just bought at R2Bike.de a set like that. Why do you sell them?

Just installed my pair of 28C from R2-bike on my Light Bicycle WR38 rims.
Put them on the rim with no sealant without too much struggle. Would not inflate with a floor pump and no sealant.
Got them to seal easily with 30ml of sealant and an air compressor.

They SO LIGHT AND THIN. I ride less than 3000km on the road each year so not to worried about durability, but we'll see how they go.
