I got a pair of old hubs from Reynolds DV46 wheels, they`re branded as Reynolds but should actually be DT Swiss 240... so I was thinking of building these back up with Sapim Laser (or CX-ray if needed) spokes to Kinlin XR22T rims, 20H front and 24H asymmetric rear - would this combo be stiff enough for a system (rider+bike) weight of 90kg and pretty rough roads?

I'm riding XR22T (Superstar branding) 20/24 on Novatec SL hubs. Currently 77kg, with a 7kg bike. I used thicker spokes on the drive side and the set is stiff enough for me, even for gravel roads.

The 424 are the same weight as CX Ray and I find them ok to build with. No durablity issues.

Whoa these are mega light - my guess would be that you need "more spoke" on the rear for climbing steeper stuff - unless you run your brakes loose and have lots of space between the chain stays.

Just had my second Tune hub break, so need new wheels. Want a wheelset that's low profile, around 1500 grams, sturdy enough to be used for training in bad conditions, but exotic enough to be used for racing and climbing. Alloy braking surface, and clincher.
I'm done with Tune hubs, and have been looking at the WI T11 as it seems to be a quite durable set of hubs, with a decent price, but am open to alternatives. Hed Belgium rims have been the reference point, and looking for those or something similar. I like the rims to be wide, as all my other wheels (Enve 4.5 og 6.7) are quite wide as well, and although it's not difficult to change the brakesettings, it's just easier when the wheels are almost the same width.
Price: around 750 euros/630 GBP
I'm a heavier rider(about 80 kgs), with a good sprint. So I'm thinking 24/28 drilling?

I'm building my first wheelset, Kinlin xr22t rims laced to White Industries T11 hubs, 24/28, radial/two two cross. Had a couple of quick questions:
1. Do these rims have offset or angled spoke holes? Or are they all aligned and perpendicular. The spoke holes certainly seem to be aligned and perpendicular to my eye (I even dropped some nipples in the holes and verified that they don't lean one direction or the other, however I remain a tiny bit skeptical since there seems to be so much written on the Internet that states that almost all rims have offset or angled spoke holes.
2. I am having a very hard time feeding spokes through the the rear non drive side hub flange. This is due to the drive side flange being larger/higher. Running spokes inbound seems to be possible by merely flexing the spokes (although there is a lot of friction on the double butted section/j-bend). I cannot seem to run spokes outbound through this flange without bending/kinking them (I tried with some old spokes). Am I missing something here?
