The Open Pro's on my powertap wheels are getting to the stage where they're due for replacement, and at this point may as well go tubeless.
These are for UK winter use, so they have to be fairly cheap, and available.
Need to be 32h.

Suggestions or experiences please...

Velocity A23s work for me. 18mm internal width. I've been running Schwalbe S-One 700x30 tubeless on them.

DT Swiss R460 - sub £60 a pair delivered from r2-bike.de. 18mm internal, nice graphics, wear indicator, tubeless but standard tyre relatively easy to fit.

Kinlin XR22T is the best of all of them.

I have good experience with the DT 460 as well. Inexpensive, easy to build and ride well. Haven't tried them tubeless tho...

Everything suggested so far are great rims. The XR26 and XR31 are also good and a bit heavier/beefier if you want a stiff wheel.

Malcom, I might be interested in these rims (if they are for disc brakes) for my audax bike .... instead of HED Belgium rims

I'm looking at using a Son dynamo hub, tubeless tyres, and from a previous post, you mentioned that it's best to use 36 spokes on the front, aswell as the back.... do I get symetric or assymetric?

HEd Belgium are not assymetric

Not exactly cheap for winter use @ £60 per rim, and there are numerous reports of them being difficult to mount tyres on. Nice and light though, and probably a very good rim in other respects.

I have no trouble fitting tyres to them those that are having trouble are probably using std rim tape. tubeless tape must be used.

Would it be possible to go 2:1 lacing 16/8 on this powertap hub and a 24h rim?

Maybe the NDS spoke holes won't line up right.

Powertap hubs require at least 2x lacing on the non-drive side. I can't explain it completely, but the torque is transferred through to the non-drive spokes as part of the torque measurement. Which means no 2:1 lacing on Powertap hubs
