Fulcrum Racing Carbon Zero v Bora 35 One
Moderator: robbosmans
So the Fulcrum Racing Zero Carbon is a wheel that intrigues me.
Does anyone know how this wheel stacks up to the Bora 35 One or Ultra.
Seems about the same price as the One but with better hubs and the Ultra is about $450 more. Any thoughts on the wide spokes and overall wheel?

Apologies for the very old bump but I have the same question.
Fulcrum racing zero carbon vs Bora 35 (one/ultra) which would you choose?

Boras. I just like the thin stainless steel spokes and overall look more. The Fulcrums are great wheels as well. I used to have a set with the really wide and flared red spokes (what was I thinking). And wider spokes do catch more wind.

Agree ... either go with Boras if on Campag or go for one of:
- Fulcrum Quattro Carbon (cheaper and really very good)
- Fulcrum Speed 40 (only a bit more than the Racing Carbon Zero and Bora standard)

Well I bit the bullet and purchased a pair of the dark label Bora 35 Ones. Only one ride in so will need to provide an update down the track but already impressed with the stiffness, improved tracking through corners and large improvement in braking. I chose to go with the 3diamant version over the AC3 as I got a good deal, and Calnago's positive comments on the 3diamant brake track in other threads helped sway my decision. The turbine whistle sound each time you brake just adds to the enjoyment!
edit: Oh last thing, the wheelset came to 1383g (595g front, 788g rear). Well under the 1406g claimed weight

No worries in Australia.
Pushys (a local website) had a 12% off sale. Wiggle/PBK etc have been cheaper but we cop import taxes for purchases over $1000 AUD so it doesn't make it worthwhile.
