Hello,

Long time lurker here. Bike is at a point where I would like to share it. Owned since 2012. Love the classic lines. Never gets old. Great weight without Weight Weenie specific parts. Future? Looking at Sram ETAP upgrade kit and EE Brakes along with shaving the cable stops.

Constructive criticism: it looks terrible, you should throw it in the trash in front of my house!
Think it looks super clean, personally don't like the white tape

Ha. White tape is so Pro. :)
I had BLK tape but wanted to change the look up.

I absolutely love this generation of Cervelo's. I keep finding them on eBay and have to talk myself out of them.

Really classy/clean build. Great job.

Beautiful timeless bike. Well done. Constructive criticism... Drop the ENVE stem and 3T post and go with Deda Superzero. (The lines match the boxy tubes on the Cervelo) and black tape with red stitch to set it apart from the others. Just my $.02

Thanks Fellas!

Magnets came with my Pioneer PM. You might can order it from Pioneer. It's double side tape. I have it on both sides of the bike. Metallic grayish/black tape. Matched the frame perfectly.

I don't know the used market on these frames but the VWD was a premium back then. Retailed for $5K then. R5CA was $10K. I built this bike as a climbing bike. I had an S5 team at that point. Sold the S5 because it was a pig at 16.5 LBS. S5 was WAY faster than the R5. Didn't have to work as much to keep the bike going.

Now, I use the R5 for everything when weather is good. Legs just gotta work a little more but the 404's make it easier.

Yes, I can look into that as long as those components are lighter. I do like the clean set up of the Enve Stem/Garmin Combo. I hadn't seen BLK tape with Red Stitch before. What brand?

Thanks Fellas!

I believe the VWD is the lightest model R5 up to date. Not including the exotic RCA. I could be wrong though. Internal cable routing and more aero shape should had added more weight right? The black frame along with the grey/red top tube were the 2 models after the VWD. I wonder how much better/faster it rides though. Not talking about the newest redesign. Any can chime in?

Nice machine! To me it screems for a white saddle! or black bartape! :)

Haha. I know the Velo Rules. I like white tape but not white saddles. I figure I can get away with it since the saddle is hidden under my butt while I'm trying to haul ass.
