Have to wait 10 months on this. But i think it was worth it.
Because of the production delays, Canyon decided to make it 2016/2017 model. Good for me.
Very nice finish.

I think this model Canyon in that colour is one of the nicest looking 'off the shelf' bikes available at the moment.

So you paid for the pre-2016 CF SLX, but received the 2016 model for the same money? Very nice!

nope. ordered 2016 model at the end of august 2015. because of the delays (delivered June 2016). Already nearing the last quarter, which is the time for 2017 models to be launched, Canyon probably decided to make their 2017 model the same as 2016. because the box and invoice indicates 2016/17 ultimate cf slx 8.0

I am not sure I understand. Are you saying Canyon decided to offer the same 2016 Ultimate CF SLX model(s) in 2017 due to production delays in 2016? I do not think it could be expected that Canyon launch a new Ultimate CF SLX in 2017, i.e. only one year after a previous revamp. Or do you mean just the colour of paint?

I'm almost ready to get one of these myself. Some of the online reviews mention some issues with the mavic wheels. Noise doesn't bother me, but a couple mention brake run when putting the power down. One said it was bad, one a minor issue, other reviews didn't mention it at all.

Have you ridden the mavics? Any problems? This issue is the only thing stopping me from buying.

Thanks.

Didnt tried the mavics. Sold them immediately. Then use my old carbon clincher wheels.
