@calnago- yes. havent put in the pads yet, and might need to take away a couple of links on the housing. that should give a more direct cable entry.
@bernieV- bought from an LBS here in hong kong. stocks supposedly for campy equipped built bikes.

Maybe an aero Rotor large ring would be nicer...

If this had 5 arm Super Record Ti cranks, I could die happy.

thanks!
still enjoying riding oval rings and wouldnt want to use out-of catalog 5-arm
ones just so i could use q-rings. but if ever i find a good deal on 4-arm ones, ill definitely make the switch!
yes i can. but the frame-headset cap-cockpit interface wont be as smooth since the H11 cap is shaped the same as the stem. im actually thinking of shaping a 10mm stack cap, 4mm might be too low for me on this headtube.

Sorry for the dumb questions, just trying to understand how the Canyon headset system actually works and whether I will be able to get the integrated bars a bit lower...
So if you don't use the 16mm angled cover and just use a standard cover, can you still effectively pre-load the bearings and take play out of the fork? Does the top cap bolt go into an expander plug or star nut in the steerer?
Is that 4mm cover you had available commercially?

yes you can use any 1 1/4 headset cap. it doesnt look as pretty but it works 100%.
yes the topcap has an expander plug. the headset cap preload is actually another preload.
no the 4mm headset delrin cap i have was machined by a friend.
hope this helps.
